Last chance to do the Older Bloggers Survey — gone!

When I wrote this page, our survey for older bloggers was still open for a few more days. It closed on Sunday 17 June. The video below, now obsolete, explains why we needed you to share your experience as a middle-aged or older person with a personal blog.

Here’s that all-important link to the survey again: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/olderbloggers

So, did we get it all wrong? Only you could tell us. Thanks for watching, and thanks if you did the survey.

Great stuff! Can’t wait to hear what you find. And it was lovely to finally put a voice with your face:).

    1. Thank you Kay! Video is a big leap from just words and a photo, isn’t it?

  2. I took the survey, but I would like to point out even though I’m 78, my posts aren’t about aging. The picture above linking to your video seems to imply that’s what our posts are about. The subtitle for Cheerful Monk is Life as a Shared Adventure.

  3. Just finished the survey. Lots of great questions. I’m excited to see your results. Thanks!

    1. That’s good news, thanks Debbie.

I too filled out the survey and will check back to see what the results say. And, I shared the link on my twitter feed. 🙂 Glad to have stumbled here!

    1. Oh Claudette, thank you and welcome!

I’m not over 60…but I too have addressed the middle age blogger thing. I wrote about some of it here…https://writerofwordsetc.wordpress.com/2018/05/15/why-do-we-blog-on-fear-inspiration-and-writers-block/

Anyway, thank you! I’ll be reading and commenting. 🙂

  5. Thank you for the link: blogging has its own unique bundle of motivations and self-imposed expectations, and your post expands the story even further.

I did a blog post just the other day – ‘Right Place, Right Time’ – about three significant events in my life that I would have missed if just one thing had been different. Now I can add a fourth event – your survey. For whatever reason, you ‘liked’ my most recent blog post, and for some reason, I chose to check out who had liked that post (which I don’t normally do)… and there you were with a survey for people my age!

But, even more serendipitous, I just recently ran across the word ‘crone’ and discovered a whole world of ‘crones’ are active on the web. I was quite taken with the word, and decided to use it as a category on my blog. I also started a second Facebook Page called ‘This is my Crone Voice’. A lot of my Facebook friends are my age, and many of them are as vocal as I am about certain current events here in Canada. A Facebook page is a great way to capture and share fact based news!

So – thanks for finding me and leading me to your blog! I look forward to your findings.

    1. I am truly honoured that you equate our survey with your enchanting photograph of the three owlets! But this does seem serendipitous. By the way, our dance group is working on a piece about crones and we are enjoying the research as well as the dancing. I have never searched for “crones” online and must do so right away!
