this is awesome! when my kids were young it seemed as if every place we went they wanted to give the kids candy………fruit is so wonderful. 🙂 love that this is being done.
Wow (applause)… it’s a long while ago, but I so remember the dreaded checkout negotiation with a trolley full of groceries and two toddlers… all the sweets back then were right within arms reach at the checkout. I once refused to buy an unwrapped chocolate bar one of the kids had grabbed and I think taken a bite out of… Nightmare stuff for parents. Free fruit is a brilliant idea – hope it catches on everywhere.

My local supermarket also has a Free Fruit for kids bin. but its the only one I’ve spotted thus far. One is better than none!
they do that in the supermarkets over here in the UK. It started last summer vacations; I think it’s to keep them quiet when mum’s shopping.
Great idea.
That’s so nice of them!
Well done. Let’s hope it becomes the norm!
It is a nice idea, and certainly beneficial within limits. But fructose is still sugar and should be factored into the overall diet.
