A public holiday in isolation

A public holiday in isolation

So it’s a public holiday. In isolation, that merely means radio programmes are blander. That’s all. Sometimes it all gets a bit blah blah blah, you know? And the sky is grey this morning.

But my engine has started regardless. And tomorrow New Zealand goes down to Level 3 Alert, so for many, this is a pretty exciting day, public holiday or not. Isolation will ease. In theory, I could go shopping at the supermarket again, despite my ripe old age.

Have a good day! It is possible, for sure.

Exactly. It’s when I turn on the radio that I discover it’s a public holiday.

Last I read New Zealanders have been doing well keeping the virus from spreading. Glad you are coping well.

27 April is a Pub Hol here in South Africa: Freedom Day. Usually turned into a long weekend, plenty of cmaping, braais, outdoor events. But not this year. Next year will be better!

Yet I suppose people found imaginative ways to spend the day?
