Your community recreation centre: tiny tips for over 50s

The only good exercise is the exercise we carry on doing, so we’d better choose something we enjoy. It’s never too late and it’s never too early to establish a personal exercise routine. If you don’t know where to start, investigate your local community recreation centre. They welcome all comers. Besides swimming pools and training machines and personal instruction, ours offer classes in aquafit, yoga, Pilates, pump, Swiss Ball, Activate, Zumba, Circuit, aerobics and Box Fit. One of these options may appeal, so give it a go or you’ll never know.

You already knew that exercise is a magic pill for bones, heart, lungs, mental health, longevity and general well-being. Just a little reminder. And remember, tiny habits… Start small (a 5-minute walk? 3 push-ups?).
