COVID-19 lockdown for the poor or homeless or abused
This too shall pass. Who remembers that? The old and the almost old remember, that’s who.
Lockdown for COVID-19 is sweet for some, bitter for others. “This too shall pass” does not console the homeless, those in dreadful conditions, or those being abused.
That’s why I wish you as happy a weekend as possible, either helping or with help close at hand.
thanks – I have help – two people within a short drive – one is possibly going to bring fresh veg/fruit today – but I’ve said “don’t bust your boiler” if it becomes an issue. And I have one more who is my go-to for questions, although now I’ve solved most of the bigger ones as they had to do with “going into L/Down”
I”m finally getting my head around things, and have started on a challenge/textiles which is a world wide (just formed f/b group) and I’ve now started this weeks’ challenge – small but something to get on with. I do have many other projects “in process” but this challenge started me back to “art-making” as it’s from scratch.
MUCH LOVE TO EVERYONE
That’s all good to know. I think the daily or weekly challenge is coming into its own now, helping us with our routine, creative outlet, and purpose in this new situation. Virtual hugs.
Always the most vulnerable bear the brunt of crises. I know that Women’s Refuge and the City Missions are doing what they can. I hope it is enough.
So well said. Just that.
Since our church serves so many homeless, we are especially grieved as all their resources are shut, including libraries, public rest rooms, even shelters. I am thankful you are thinking of “the least of these.”
Guess all we can do is donate money now.
Yes that is what we are doing. I was relieved to see that giving has not gone down at our church. We finally learned how to do on-line giving.
That is what I have been most worried about during this whole business. And also those from other countries who are stuck living in cars or inadequate campervans. I have never been so thankful that I live on a farm.
Absolutely. I agree.
