News bulletin: relief from Covid-19 and a new book of poems
Just a news bulletin today. Short bulletin, large happenings, all good news
Personal: Catching my breath in recovery after a family event.
National: We in New Zealand are now at Level 1, free of Covid-19 for now. Big gatherings permitted from midnight. Life back to roughly-normal, except for international travellers.
Professional: Any minute now I’m expecting my 20 author’s copies of a new book of poems, How To Be Old.
I just received my books today Rachel! What a joy. Hope yours aren’t too far away.
Exciting!
Congratulations, Rachel.
That’s amazing! We have a way to go here yet before my son can reopen his pub.
Good luck with the book.
Thanks Cathy. I see it as a wonderful temporary reprieve but Covid -19 is not eradicated anywhere until it is stamped out everywhere.
Love the title, “How to Be Old”
I’m so glad, because it’s certainly upfront.
That is good news.
Great news all round!
Wonderful! Thanks for sharing good news!
My husband and I were walking past a very nice retirement community by the beach Sunday and I said to him, “Those are nice. I think when I get old, I wouldn’t mind living there ” He laughed, looked at me with a big smile and said, “I’m so glad you don’t think you’re old” … I’m 73, soon to be 74. lol
Lovely.
Good luck with the book!
How lovely to be in New Zealand right now. Here somehow denial reigns supreme and the “nobody is going to tell me what to do” has the virus spreading increasingly out of control. Thankfully I live in a very cooperative state and our numbers continue to go down. I am loving the live readings and hope they continue.
This is a moment to treasure, maybe brief, maybe longer. And yes, time for another reading. Thanks for following.
You’re welcome.
