Please name my owls and my Mexican skull

Have you got the skill to name my owls?
Have you got the gall to name my skull?
That is my plea in this little song.
They have gone anon. for far too long.

Thank you dear readers in advance.

Its possible that the simple grey owl, next to the skull, might be of Viking ancestry – Odin. Failing this, then he’s a Saxon owl – Osric. The middle owl is probably a real night owl, and those are his Morning After eyes. So his name might be Hemingway? and the final yellow/white & black owl is not to be messed around with – he may well have Mexican antecedents, in which case, how about El Jefe? Or not.

This is great material, Alison. Thank you for applying your great brain to my problem.

  2. I think the first two look like a Gus and a Dewey. Their pals on the right look like Mort and Leon

The owls – Peter, Paul and Mary and the skull Puff!

Oh my, you know my age.

  4. For no particular reason, from right to left (I like to be different) Olly, Polly, Luce, and Bruce.

These have a ring to them, for sure.

I had 3 little German owls who had fallen out of their nest whom I mothered for a week-they were ‘Hughie’, ‘Stewie’ and ‘Louie’! I think your owls would suit those monikers!
As for the Mexican skull, gotta be ‘Diego’ after Diego Rivera. Mine is ‘Frida’ as more female!

    1. Rachel McAlpine says:

I will think seriously about Diego and Frida. I’m also considering “Rachel.” Memento mori and all that.
