Feline influencer gives 2014 MacBook Pro a 5-star review
Seems Ursula (the celebrity social media influencer) and I can never agree when evaluating products. She loves my 2014 MacBook Pro because it is warm, a nice cosy sleeping pad perched in a high place with an extensive view of the neighbourhood and distant suburbs.

By contrast, I would give the MacBook Pro only 3.5 stars at this stage of its life. I hold on to it despite its limited memory and ruined Retina screen. (The message on the screen is a time warp: it says Rachel McAlpine’s PowerBook G4 12″.) I still appreciate the vintage MacBook Pro’s multiple virtues and right now there’s no ideal replacement: I’m just waiting Apple out. But what can I say? Ursula is the star, I but her humble servant.

I can never actually use my laptop on my lap. Once on the sofa, one dog wants to lay her head across it while the other prefers to dance across the keyboard.
Sounds entertaining…for the dogs. They have other priorities.
Very seldom do I use my laptop on a comfy chair, sofa, or recliner. But to each their own cause I cannot say the thought to do so hasn’t crossed my mind.
Ursula, as always, has refined taste!
Very good choice!
Ursula hopes you get a new one and she can continue to use this one as a heating pad.
Now there’s a thought…
I bought a new MacBook Pro during the pandemic. It and I are still getting to know each other. I hate the fingerprint thing to turn it on. My fingerprints have worn away and the keypad can’t seem to figure out that it’s me. My old 2010 Mac Book Pro still runs but the better is kaput and the operating system is supported by few applications. But I still loves its size and heft.
Ohhh no the fingerprint thing. Funny how nothing is perfect…or stays perfect for long.
I have a laptop that can’t update past Sierra. I loathe when the hardware is perfectly fine, but the software forces me to buy something new! ARGH! My cats hate all technology because it takes attention away from them.
I understand it but we don’t have to like it 🙂
