New podcast episode: poems written for friends and family

I’m never quite sure whether you can find new podcast episodes by following my blog in Reader. That’s why now and then I’ll post a link here — just in case!

A poetry reading: poems written for friends and family members

So, that’s sorted. Now I’m off to Cuba Dupa 2021 for music and dancing up and down Cuba Street.

If I get some decent photos, you never know, I might share them…

Sunday update

It was great participating in Street Trance yesterday, dancing repetitive steps for 6 minutes (three times). But I can’t join in today because I’m reading at an event for the poetry collection Somewhere a cleaner. The title comes from one of my poems:

Somewhere a poet
is cleaning a bathroom.
Somewhere a cleaner
is writing a poem.

About half the poems are by professional cleaners. I’m looking forward to it and I can’t turn up all sweaty from dancing in the street!

(My 3 photos were a big fail, sorry.)

  1. We don’t having anything like a Cuba Dupa around here in rural central Virginia. Looks like a giant outdoor party! Have fun!

Great fun. And constantly we said, We’re so lucky! Not in lockdown! Not ruined by the pandemic!

  2. Loved your spoken words, as always, and Cuba Dupa looks like fun!
