I would enroll him in a Theoretical Physics class to learn the theory of parallel universes. Clearly he has encountered a membrane ( M Theory) separating his universe from another. That is not his reflection he sees. It is another version of his self.
It is certainly mysterious, and perhaps it is indeed M Theory that will clarify the mystery for Juan rather than poetry. Thank you for your advice. It’s turning into a brainworm for Juan’s grandmother.
